Design-Build Synergy
We will help you design your new home or remodel! While we are not architects, we have considerable experience sitting down with owners, listening to what you want, and then developing a design that meets and hopefully exceeds your expectations. We know the questions to ask and can quickly point out tradeoffs in materials, cost, and schedule impact. We “design to the property” meaning that we develop home designs that take advantage of the natural features and topography of your land. We do not use “off the shelf” designs but can start the process with yours if you already have drawings that you like.

Your builder has a vested interest in developing a superior design – and one that meets constraints of budget and schedule! Progress can be accelerated when your builder knows your project in detail before ground is broken! Whether it be working with your bank, the local permitting process, or simply meeting a schedule and budget, AAH will be your partner to guide you through all steps of your home building project!
Our “Design-Build” Process Sets Us Apart
Customer Input Meetings
Our initial meeting will involve a detailed discussion of your wants, needs, ideas, dislikes, favorite styles and questions about how you live and work in your spaces. We may also visit the site of the project to better understand how the buildings will join with the land.
Preliminary Drawings
At this meeting we will review the preliminary sketches that have been developed from the previous meeting. Through this discussion we will solidify your concepts, and clarify ideas so more detailed drawings can be developed.
Customer Feedback Meetings
As CAD plans are developed and the structure and dimensional details are brought to life. Through this design development process many more detail questions and clarifications come to light. These meetings allow us to hone the design details and specifications through your feedback prior to construction.
CAD Drawings Review & Customer Approved Design
At this time your final design drawings will be reviewed, making any small revisions needed. Upon approval of the drawings a detailed estimate of the project well then be developed.
Construction Process Begins
Once construction contracts are in place AAH will secure all permits and approvals, coordinate with the bank, schedule subcontractors, procure materials, & manage your construction to completion.
